Cool ! Is it something that could be made at home with spare copper pipe, flaring tool and fittings ? I'd been making and fitting the short rear suspension pipes but was proving very frustrating - see above. When the front-to-rear.pipe split in their possession there was no real alternative to them...

They might just need a tweak up or the copper washers replacing (if it has them).

The pump is a pretty reliable unit.

Fatigue cracks rather than corrosion - it's the straightness of the fractures that are the give away. Plating inside the section is the only way to sort that without it being seen. Plating on the outside would be visible and move the mounting points by the thickness of the plate but this wouldn't be...
