Re: Rover 214 SEI 1995 in 2019

Re: Driver's door lock mechanism freezing

Thank you for your excellent guidance :clapping The battery seems fine and the passenger door is working with the CDL so my first suspicions are it's the mechanical side and I've be out with the WD40 and the chain lube. When using the key to lock/unlock, something I haven't done for a very long time...

Driver's door lock mechanism freezing

The recent freeze has caused my coupe's driver's door lock to freeze on a couple of occasions and I'm trying to work out if it's an easy fix or something starting to wear out. On the first cold morning the CDL unlocked only the passenger door and I had to raise the internal button on the driver's do...

Re: R3 UK only?

Finally got time to read the Autocar article. Clear that the myth of it being based on R8 comes from an incomplete reading of it. Although it says it was initially based on an R8 floorpan the article also states this was later changed to a new one, with associated rear suspension change. I do find ...

Re: Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery 22-24 March 2019

Area: 114sqm That's enormous! :o That's twice as large as we had last year :clapping That's 5 or 6 cars, depending on how much working space we allow ourselves. We have one offer of an R8 416 for a 'mild makeover' - what other offers do you have? Remember no painting, welding etc and if it's major ...

Re: New R8 30th Anniversary mug now available

Having ordered one of the new mugs, it has arrived safely and was extremely well wrapped, now I have to decide whether to put it to good use and have a coffee ☕ or leave it on display 😎 You should have bought 2 and kept one for display use only. Just like R8s themselves :-) Glad you're happy with t...
