Re: Original workshop manuals

Rover Group Publication Part No' AKM 6987 [2nd Edition] 1994 in two loose leaf volumes chaps.

I started a thread somewhere on this, I thought it was a sticky but obviously not?

A second copy would always be useful as hedge against unintended outcomes etc.

Re: Ostensibly BRG

That looks to be a very fair price! especially with such low miles. :D

We have witnessed a small price increase over the past year and we now figure in Practical Classics Price Guide!

Re: Polished T*rd

:laughing Boy can they rust, mine was a 98 model year and it was just the paint that was rubbish at that point. Water based paint that didn't keep out the weather, it was just the clear top coat that was water proof. Paint and steel quality too went downhill between 1998-2006 ish. Quite common for 2...

Re: Polished T*rd

:oops

Yes it's easy giving good advice to others, I have to admit to buying all my four R8's without going underneath any of em'!

But they don't usually rot as badly as that? :mellow

700 if he is being honest that's a bargain if you have the money and a garage to put it in.

Blue NASP T Series had lots of work, engine, struts etc.

Re: Rover 600 Seats into R8?

No they don't, a R8 has the rear inner bracket at right angles to the runner and screws into the tunnel. These do not, it may be possible to swop the runners/seat frame and or fabricate the correct bracket for the application, haven't grappled with that one yet. :scared I believe that the seller was...

Re: Practical Classics Price Guide

It's available for free on the net, although google seems to be a little 'reluctant' to list it, prefering Haggertys Price Guide. They still don't list the Turbo or Tourer, nor the 600. The catagories go C/D 1, 2, 3 where condition 3 cars may or may not have a MOT. Coupe £2.5k 1500 650 325 216GTi 27...

Practical Classics Price Guide

We're on the map at last! is that a good or a bad thing?

Stops chancers trying to move relatively cooking motors for £3.5k at least? :laughing2

They don't differentiate the Turbo strangely or perhaps they don't have sufficeint sales data? :drive1

Re: Alternator/Charging Shenanigans!

Also worthy of note that new batteries may not be fully charged on receipt!

I just bought a new one via the bay and it had 2/5 charge out of the box when I connected it to my inteligent charger. :o

[a volt meter & battery charger come in very handy]
