Re: Bumper corners

Many thanks will try that.
I am not desperate to try high build - just thought it might smooth the corner.

Regarding texture - would smooth Satin be the best for a factory finish?

Bumper corners

Hi guys dont know what they are called (black bumper inserts on corners) on my 1998 coupe are scuffed. I would like to restore them so they look nicer. They are not too bad, but was thinking of sanding them smooth and then maybe high build primer to smooth them up and then paint with Black satin aer...

Coupe gear stick gaiter replace

Hi guys hope you can help. I have a 98 coupe and need to replace the gearstick gaiter. I have now worked out how to get the gearknob off, which was a pig, but seem to have got stuck at the stage when it look as if I need to remove the radio (which I dont have tools for). is there a guide or somethin...

Door trim clips

Hi all, I am just replacing the speakers in my coupe and think I need to replace the clips that run along the bottom of the door trim. Passenger side went back ok, but it looks as if the drives panel has been taken off a few times. When I try and clip in the bottom of the panel it just pops out. Are...

Re: MG ZR Front Springs

Ok thanks - my concern was getting VVC springs - I believe that the VVC springs are harder\higher to counter the weight of the spring mechs?

MG ZR Front Springs

Hi all I have a 98 1.6 coupe and am thinking of fitting zr\zs springs to lower it slightly as it does look a bit like Bambi now it has new shocks.

I have seen on a few adverts on a well known auction website indicating different colours for the springs - which colour will I need?

Many thanks

Re: Sad times at the Rcoc

Got to be honest I think one of the problems is that there are too many small clubs. There should be one club with different registers or chapters - in my opinion. Then we would have economies of scale rather than an ever diminishing base, I used to be in the Manta Club and got so fed up of watching...

I was thinking of the show the one at Sywell in August.

All the best

Mesh

Hi all is it possible to remove the coupe mesh (under the number plate) with the bumper in place?
I am thinking of taking it out and spraying with Black Smoothrite to tidy it up a bit - might seem anal but I know its not 100%

Wheel size

Hi is the MG3 Carousel 16" wheel a different tyre size to the 16" hairpins. Had a look at an MG3 and the tyres are 195 (I think) and seem to remember 16" Hairpins are 205. Reason for asking is that I am thinking of upgrading my 1998 coupe brakes and the VVC wheels currently on it wont allow an upgra...

Re: Doors Plastic Sheeting

So take off the plastic sheet, apply the sound deadening, then sealant the plastic back on over the top of the sound deadening?

Doors Plastic Sheeting

Hi all i am planning on upgrading my standard speakers in my coupe.
The doors still have the plastic sheeting between the door and card.

I am intending putting sound proof matting on the doors - should I remove the sheeting?

Thanks
