We have a member with a 1990 G 214SLi that they have owned from new and managed 390k on its first engine. It is now on its second engine. It had reached 431k by last October. See the article about the car in The Viking, July 2019.

Re: a late Tourer of interest to some of you?

Welcome to the forum Paul. Re: Rare 1990 G reg Rover 214si R8 5 Door Henley Blue

This might just be the highest-mileage R8 around :clapping
See the July 2019 edition of The Viking for the highest mileage 214 we know of, also a G reg.

You can't beat those early K series...

The engine mounts are in different locations because the Honda engine is mounted 180 degrees different to the Rover engines.

Re: New magazine adverts launched

It's a photographic interpretation of BRG! There is a reason why so many of the adverts were of cars in Flame Red and later in Nightfire, they photograph well.

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

The rear suspension and consequently the fuel tank, spare wheel well and exhaust are all different on an R3. (25). The suspension was simplified to accommodate everything within the shorter rear overhang and shorter wheelbase. (The simpler suspension was also cheaper to build, had less to go wrong a...

Re: Hello everyone!

Yes, the Advantage. All the looks of the MG but without the performance! And hideous white lattice wheels as well. A neighbour of mine had the Maestro 1.6 Advantage. Somehow the body coloured "Austin" grille never looked quite right on either the Advantage or the 1.3 Special. A version of the MG EFi...
