It may quite possibly be suitable but you do need to join the club before being considered. An idea of the sort of work required on your car is also important as there are restrictions on what we can do in the NEC and what is practical to do on the stand over the weekend.

If it is a K it should be an automatic? We have 4 members with 1992 J plate cabriolets. We only have the VIN of three of them and yours is the earliest by about 1,000 but remember the numbering includes all R8 models not just cabriolets. I will have a look on the database. I am fairly sure the K is actually a B. It probably hasn't stamped out very well on the VIN plate.

The T Series engine is very robust and should do 200K without problems but like anything it does depend on how it has been maintained. It is certainly my preferred choice of engine in an R8.
