Re: List of vehicles scrapped in 2009 - depressing reading...

There won't necessarily be equivalent documents for other years. It shows this as a FoI release, which would probably have just been produced on request. In theory, anyone can submit a FoI request to get other years' info.

Re: Paint name/code for 1990 216 GTi - Quicksilver/Platinum ?

I thought there were 2 codes for Nightfire Red - CAQ and COQ, although most references to them suggest they are actually the same colour, just a different formulation. There is, apparently, also a later NFR III which is different, code CBT, but the OP's car won't be this one. I have an old NFR door,...

Re: 416SLi steering rack

I've been trying to source a new, or reconditioned one for a 1.6 K-Series 400 Tourer (1997) for a while now and the only place that shows as doing them is Rimmer Bros at £500ish (ouch). I believe the part number is QEB000250, but I'm not sure if this is the only one that will fit. But, at 1994, is t...

Re: Thinking tyres and tools

I'd also support the Halfords Professional recommendation - remarkably robust at a reasonable price. Depending upon which set you go for, you might need to add a chunky breaker bar and, possibly, a 6mm spanner. If you sign up for their e-mails, you'll get notified when they're on special offer (and ...

I've not started planning that far ahead yet, but, if nothing else is on, sounds like it might be a grand day out Gromit.

Re: RoverRevival Open Day (new year maybe)

Hi Craig, I might be interested in this but it's a bit early to make a commitment. It is going to depend upon the lockdown situation, any family plans and (to a certain extent) what the weather is going to be like. I quite like the idea of a new year run and it might work to create a bit of momentum...

416 Amongst 3 cars for 'banger racing'

The 416 is complete, running and doesn't look that bad. Lovely colour too. I need a bigger driveway and a bigger wallet. Says he might split.

Re: Hi Everyone

Welcome to the club. That looks like a really nice example of the 25 you've got there. You should find advice on here for your leaky sun roof drains. I think there have been posts about this before in our technical forums - might be worth searching them. Otherwise post for advice yourself. This is a...
