Re: Windscreen - best supplier/fitter

Not anymore it isn't! The AA sold out recently to Autowindscreens, who them selves went bust just a few years ago and restarted again under different management. They are definitely NOT the same company, and most of the fitters have scattered to winds and joined other companies or started on their ...

Re: Windscreen - best supplier/fitter

My 400 needs a screen. It's had one before, I'm sure, because the top screen-to-roof seal/trim is folded under strangely in one spot. Current one is a bit scratched, has a few stonechips and isn't so nice at night because it gets a bit of glare from the aforementioned damage. Has anyone had good ex...

Re: Milton Keynes BL Day - 24th September 2017

Velo Birmingham has thwarted my attempts to get out of Stourbridge. I didn't think the route closed everything south and east on a 15-20 mile radius. Should have checked but I've given up after an hour in the car with nothing but a sat nav and a postcode.

Re: Milton Keynes BL Day - 24th September 2017

For those who might encounter the road closure approaching from the A5 (East), you could use the post code for the SAAB centre MK12 6HR to put you on H3. Then just drive past it and turn left at the next two roundabouts to come back on yourself on H2 to approach the museum from the West, as per Jere...

Re: Spotted in Menorca

I think you've done well there. I always look if I'm anywhere abroad and haven't had much success at all. Begs the question just how many 200/400s are actually left, as I assume "how many left" only deals with UK registered cars. There could be thousands dotted around Europe for a start......

Re: 1994 Rover 414Sli

Insurance renewal came through. I'm going to have to get on the phone and do it the old fashioned way by the looks of things. Old premium: £276.73 Renewal: £382.20 Two cheapest online competitors: £379.90 Every other online competitor: £700-1200 What the fudge happened? That's quite a hike in price...

17" opens up a whole new world of possibilities... but not for a phase 1 216GSi unfortunately :sad With the red sparkle there's a Dorothy's ruby red slippers / Wizard of OZ / OZ racing joke in there somewhere that I'm working on but haven't managed to make funny yet :sad Either that or it's som...

Hi Johnny I can't believe how helpful you have been it's very kind of you to go to all that trouble for me. I have checked the link you sent on eBay and I am going to order it and am wondering if my son could fit it following your instructions as he's quite good with cars. The cars only done 33k mi...

Re: Starter ptoblems

Hi thanks Johnny it's sounding like a garage job to me I've only had it 2 months and have spent quite a bit on it already getting the bodywork pristine and a new alarm system fitted. I had a look on ebay like Paul said for the relay switch but not sure which one I would need? Nothing in the UK unfo...

Re: Starter ptoblems

The lack of revs being held could potentially be an oxygen sensor problem. It's an odd symptom for an odd fault - but mine showed the same about 20 years ago and a change of the sensor fixed the problem. You could try a Denso DOX-1004 as a drop-in replacement. As Paul said, the intermittent start pr...

And so will the rest. It's probably a very quiet side street. If those yellow lines stop before the front wheels, they'll be fine :laughing2
