Re: Rover 216 GTI (new engine)

ha yeah for sure going to get them to sort that first What ECU are you running with now? Your original one? Might be able to do a chip/tune map swap from the A8 catted ECU into your. Loss of power could be the tune map - engine load, revs, etc. and what it does to the injector firing pattern. I.e. ...

Re: Original Rover Stereo Repairable?

My 420 Tourer came with an original R750 unit fitted but it didn't work very well. It would switch on and have power (ie you could see it was lit up orange) but it didn't actually work, ie no display, no radio station playing etc. Occasionally you would switch it on and it worked OK. Is this kind o...

Re: lamber sencer flashed code J reg with cat.

Thanks The warning light has go out now will that flash code be stored or is it only active when the fault is pressent? If it's stored then the flashing LED is the only way to access the codes. I'd suggest even if the Check Engine light has gone out, you may find the same fault code being flashed o...

Re: lamber sencer flashed code J reg with cat.

What is the number off flashes on the passenger footwee l light that indicates a lamber sencer fault. I have just had a check engine warning light come on on the way out today. Also where do you bridge the wire to test this please. Honda ODB0 flash codes for the O2 sensor are 1 flash (and 2 flashes...

Re: Rimmer Bros website - VIRUS?

Started working again about 22:30 last night but no idea why it went nuts as its usually ok. It still doesn't for me. Still get Trojan warnings. My virus checker stops MS Edge loading the page at all. Chrome and Firefox just say the page has timed out and my virus checker points to an infected cach...

Re: Sunroof cover

You might have to be careful. There is a difference between early ones and later one - the early cars have a deflector built into the front edge which is different if not present at all to the later units. I know this as I have a broken spring on one of mine which I cannot get the bolt out with but...

Re: Rimmer Bros website - VIRUS?

wonder if it is virus scanner specific. I'm on kaspersky (paid) and its said nothing other than the ssl not being valid on .co.uk Yeah, it very definitely is virus checker specific and how it handles it. Mine's actually reporting the name of the Trojan it thinks it's found "HTML/ScrInject.B trojan,...

Re: rear drum to disc conversion

It just doesn't bite nearly as tight as the drum did (based on my cabby). Still more than enough but i bet i could have done a handbrake turn on drums, no chance on the discs and all mine where new kit, caliper, pad, disc and handbrake cable. How does the cable do it's job? On the drums you've got ...

They should stop charging so much for postage and pay some money towards tech support.
Phoned them today about it. My virus checker is still throwing up warnings everywhere and stopping me visiting the site.

They'll do something when they start noticing a drop in sales...
