Re: New Distributor

I am no expert on the Honda engines, but I do know they have a lot of vacuum pipes for various fuel and ignition functions.

Re: New rover 420i owner

I was one of the club members displaying at Preston Park last year, so probably had a look at your Maestro as I was walking around :cool I have changed a starter motor on an L-series diesel from above, and the layout is basically similar to a T-series petrol. On the diesel (25), I had to remove the ...

Re: Fog Lamp Switch on Rover 216 Cabriolet

Help has been given :)

I have experienced failures of the dash switches on R3s before (Nik's Cabriolet is a late model with the R3 dash) and have harvested a few spares just in case :wink3

Re: Replica Main dealer number plates

Thanks, that will be appreciated :) I had put together a shopping list of stuff I wanted from DMB, and as with most things that don't actually keep the cars running, I hadn't got around to doing anything about it! So if an alternative supplier of 'proper' number plates can be found, happy days!! :cl...

Well, we haven't had 'the call', but I hear that our Matt has managed to get his 416 on to one of the independent club stands, which also includes a Cabby. :D :clapping

Re: Replica Main dealer number plates

DMB no longer do these plate. Do we know anyone else? That's really disappointing and I am not blaming them, I guess our crazy laws have caught up with them :mad I did a quick Google about this and found a thread on Autoshite which covers this and one or two members have offered to PM details of ot...

Anybody who has received a fine must contact Sara Nye with their car registration number: here is a link to the BL Rally website (which also contains some info on the ANPR stuff) and you can then get her contact details by clicking on the 'Contact Us' tab on the website. http://www.bmcblrally.co.uk/...

Tom won't mind a few 25s or 45s turning up; I believe the 2001 rule is there mainly to prevent infestation by modern Cowley products that pretend to be British Classics :laughing2

They just couldn't get more similar to the rover model could they :blink
They made a better job of producing two different cars than the Ford Fiesta & Mazda 121 effort.

And the Peugeot 106 & Citroen Saxo

Re: Cabrio power hood problem

Also, if you have got the handbrake on, make sure that the warning lamp on the dash is working: if it isn't, you might have a fault with the switch on the handbrake or its wiring.

Thanks Paul, I emailed Sara last night and am now waiting for a reply :wink3

Maybe we should all get some 'Rover' show plates made for future years and fix them on before we get into the range of the ANPR: should send their system into meltdown! :laughing2
