Re: 216 boot spoiler

Hi thanks for your reply. The black plastic section that is held to the boot with bolts is still there.I need to fix the spoiler as such back on the plastic mounting that is still attached to the lid. Thanks for the tip regarding Tiger Seal.Sounds like just the job

216 boot spoiler

After repeatedly telling my Wife and Daughter that the hatchback spoiler is not to be used to close the boot.Yep you've guessed it my Daughter standing there asking why did it fall off.No damage as such so it looks like a no more nails job,Unless anyone has a better idea.

Re: Timing belt/Fuel filter.

I was very careful with the timing cover bolts. The worst one was the top one on the left hand side of the cover as you face the camshaft pulley.I found that if i was careful i could support the plastic around the bolt with a pair of grips while i undone it.Yes i was very lucky as i understand these ...

Re: New

Thanks for the welcome. The rear arch seems ok and the wheel boxes In the boot look brand new but I will have much closer look. The next job on the list is to replace the timing belt and water pump so I can use the car as I suspect it may be original. Then I intend to replace the front wing as it looks...
