Loss of coolant

So my 1997 400 bubble went in for MOT today and it was all going well on the way to passing until the tester saw it dumping coolant all over the mot bay. He said the temperature gauge was showing halfway and not overheating and the radiator fan had been on previously. The picture below shows where m...

Been toying with the idea of selling the BRM and thinning my classic fleet a little to enable the purchase of a nice daily drive (eyeing up a new-ish Golf GTI or Hyundai i30 N).

I’ve really got too many cars!

Such a lovely car :clapping

Re: Indicator needs changing NOW SOLVED

NOW SOLVED - just in case someone searches this is the solution You have to access side indicator lamp via the front wheel arch. Remove a couple of the front black plastic screws that holds the black plastic liner in place within the wing. Slightly bend the liner and you can get your hand in to unsc...

Indicator needs changing - NOW SOLVED

My front offside indicator on my 400 HHR has blown. Had a quick look last night and it looks like the whole headlight needs to come out to change the bulb. It's been such a long time I can't remember. Anyone know? Also if the headlight has to come out is it just the two 10mm bolts on top or is there...

Re: Nice 416GTI

This used to be owned by a club member. I am sure he will identify himself if he wishes to! Interesting-wonder if it’s the owner I served when I was at Evans Halshaw. Yes I was the most recent and only 2nd owner. Brought it from a woman in Luton who's husband had recently passed away. I spent a lot...

I would love to come but no longer own an R8 :mope

But I can bring a different car and tag along during the ride if someone fancies a passenger. I'll happily do some filming as my driving hands will be free :clapping

Re: Removing paint

Sorry Johnny I meant I want to take off all original paint as some of its badly flaking anyway. I want to see how badly the bumper is underneath the messy paintwork. I appreciate it can be sprayed over but some of the grey plastic can already be seen so I thought I'd take it all off to see if the b...
