Re: Rover Tahiti Blue

One way would be to take of the fuel filler cover and take to you local car paint supplier and get him to match your paint , they usually do aerosol ready mix and then you will know you have a good match .

Re: Expansion tank

Just a quick update,I cleaned the expansion tank with degreaser and small gravel come up a treat but if like me you have a later vehicle with a low coolant level sensor it might be better not to use gravel as it gets jammed between the float and casing thus causing the warning lamp to either stay o...

The reason it's sagging is that the scrim foam on t...

Re: Hydraulic lifters

RTV wont break down like anaerobic sealant, which only cures when parts are clamped together so any left in oil ways would be washed away with the correct sealant , so yes that is possible .

I used  ELRING Curil K2  but there are others .

Re: Looking for Vi V585MOF

I went to look at that Vi a few years ago too, in fact I reckon I was the offer of £2k he spoke about! I travelled up from Milton Keynes on the train so was serious about buying it, but I wasn’t paying that money for it-especially as it had the start of rust on all four arches and was well overdue ...

Re: Rover 416SLi Immobiliser issue

Faulty door and boot switches can be cleaned and they are easy to take apart .
If you find that yours are beyond cleaning up I have good second hand ones ( cleaned ) at £5 for a door and £15 for the boot including postage in the uk .

Always happy to help :D
