18 months and probably around 3000 miles, including a recent 1100 mile round trip to Longbridge. So far no concerns about the performance of the gearbox, and no nasty noises.
well i shall give it a good test with the amount of miles i drive haha

Re: geabox oil

About 18 months ago in 2016, I looked into this after some suspected gear-selection problems on our 214 R65 gearbox. The guy at a local gearbox repair firm, recommended using Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) in the box rather than 75W-80 GL4. I had tried EP80W-90 but without any real improvement ...

Re: lower spings

MG ZR from MG ZS rear :) Interesting! How much lower does it sit? I want to improve my handling without going too low if possible. Edit: also do the whole shock absorber units fit? Or just springs? If you look on my thread in projects there's some pics on there as standard and with the ZR/ZS legs. ...

Re: droning noise????

If it's like a mooing sound, like don't worry. Sounds like its from the rear bumper area? Sometimes It's a long, loud moo, other times a little honk. Temperature seems to affect this too. If it is, It's the tank breather valve. It's perfectly OK, mine has mooed since I owned it, so presumably it's ...

Re: inlet manifold stud pattern

I don't think this is an area that engine designers aim for commonality as manifold design is an integral part of the overall performance and installation package that they invariably end up being unique to an engine. If you're looking for something special there are many companies that will make y...
