Re: Door trim clips

eBay do kits with different types in there which I have used for other cars in the past. A good selection with some bound to fit.

Re: Rear Door Windows

Tis true about me breaking mine :rolleyes .
I would suggest putting a plastic implement between glass and rubber and trying to gently free it. And whilst prising the gap open throwing some oil based lubricant to maybe loosen up any stiff rubber etc.

The plastic lugs are easy to replace but you will need something like tiger seal to hold the glass.
Spot on with the lugs got pently of them , if you need a window can help with that and post .
Excellent, maybe I'll try replacing the lugs before the window. I'll DM you thanks.

Not as inspiring as the R8 one but nice to watch again. This reminds me of when I had to choose one as a company car :clapping

Passenger window broken

Since I brought my 1996 400 HHR hatchback the nearside window hasn't worked. I brought a secondhand motor thinking it might be that. Seeing as I have so much time these days I took the door card off today and found a plug out. Now I don't know if I did that when removing the door card or if that was...

Just make sure you don't forget to fit the filter.

A messy business, and a waste of 5 litres of quality oil.

How do I know that? :blushing

No issue at all-I’d leave a note on the instrument cluster and pull the fuel pump relay/disconnect the crank sensor etc though just to be sure it isn’t started accidentally!
Thanks guys. No problem as it's on stands and no battery fitted either.

Removing oil

May be a silly question, but is it ok to remove engine oil and not replace it for a few days? 1.6 K series.
Got oil on order but was gonna drain it tomorrow to change filter and leave it empty till say Wednesday. Wanna make sure I don't do any damage as I normally replace immediately.
Thanks.

Re: Pride of Longbridge 18th April 2020

Hmmm it’s 4 weeks away yet. A lot could have changed by then. The situation may be better in 3 weeks. Or is that wishful thinking? 1. it's very unlikely the situation would have been better off in 4 weeks time, in fact, it's highly likely to worsen by then in the UK, considering the general lack of...
