220 Coupe Turbo

#1 Post by Pencil Tip » Tue Mar 12, 2019 12:59 pm

This fella has been trying to sell this car for how many years? :clapping

Looks nice condition, but going on what he has put in the text and I quote; "WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT PEOPLE MAY THINK ITS WORTH, THE CAR IS PRICED TO SELL, IF ITS TOO RICH FOR YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS. SILLY MESSAGES WILL SIMPLY BE IGNORED." I don't think it will sell with a bad attitude like that, besides the price tag.

He has obviously had a few people let him know that it isn't worth that much, even though it is a car the Japs didn't want, sorry I mean a super rare FDH model :laughing

Does the gear gaiter and gear stick position look right? I've only ever seen the stick shift in the middle of the opening in the console. It's like the mounting has been pushed way forward, or is that normal for a 220?

Prices asked for go up, but prices paid don't seem to be. If it's worth that much it will sell I'm sure. But it's been up for sale before so maybe it's just not me thinking that.
As you always say, 1p starting bid no reserve and see where it goes.
I'll be amazed if it gets to £4k

It'll not sell due to his attitude, automatically puts the buyer on the defensive.

I want top dollar and no you are not allowed to ask me any questions about it.

Its in 1st or 3rd gear, the handbrake is quite high though and the gator has been pulled down slightly to make it look "Sporty".

I quote from the listing, "Priced to sell", I sincerely hope so, I'm fed up seeing this same car coming up for sale, with it's cringe worthy write up.

The seller has lowered the price to £4000.

"No longer available, removed by the Seller"

Probably got fed up of realistic offers around the £2.5k mark. :laughing2

Agreed. And I bet you a brass Farthing that it won't sell then either! Unless it is priced more realistically at between £2500 - £3500

The seller must think it is worth more than a 'normal' Coupe turbo because it has FDH in the registration. Yes, it has leather and aircon, but value is more about mileage, number of owners and condition.
