Post White 5-door GSI from the Netherlands.
Hi Everybody,

Finally I lowered my car yesterday. Thought it turned out nice. Also fitted a Renault Laguna front splitter some weeks ago and a EG civic strut brace. The splitter needs some work though, maybe i'll replace it.

Let me know what you think please!

As a comparison, left one's mine, the right one is sitting idle on the same spot for almost 4 months now.

Greetings!

Thanks :) My car just has some minor damage, which will be fixed some time.

It's a shame the red one has been standing there, i'd like to have it for parts but it's just a 214SLi. So it's with an Rover engine, I prefer the Honda's like mine :tongue

Edit: The front splitter comes from a renault laguna.

I like it very much lowered... :)
But where did you get the front bumper??? Did you paint it?
Because I think that it belongs to a 216 GTI or a 220 GSI,GTI..

I have a 214 Sli white very similar, it has just a few aesthetic differences....

Thanks :)
The front bumper came stock on my car. It wasn't placed/painted later on. I have pictures, a complete bill and pricing list from the dealer. In the Netherlands almost all rover 200/400/tourers have this bumper.

Too bad you live in the UK, would make a nice photoshoot :tongue

I dont live in UK, im spaniard and I live in Spain... :*laughs* But dont be angry with me for win you the World Cup :laughing2

are you sure that bumper came stock on the car? is it a second hand car???
Because thats very rare here, in UK, in France...

The normal grey bumper is this:

These bumpers havent got that big hole in the middle and holes in the laterals for front fog lights that yours has..

Your bumper is this but painted in grey, because this bumper wasnt sold in grey colour...
Rover 220 gsi, gti; 216 gti, 414 SLI, 420 GSI.. had this bumper, but your is a 216 gsi

and if you look attentively, you will can see that the grey colour of your front bumper is different to the other greys part of the car...
Do you understand me?

It's still a bit far for a fotoshoot :p

I'm sure the bumper came stock on the car. On the pics it looks like the color is different, but it it's not. I have pictures from the people who bought it when it was new, and back then it had that bumper.

And don't worry, I didn't even look at the world cup because I simply do not care :tongue

i dont like football neither... so dont worry!! :laughing2
I watched the last matchs of spain because it was an historical fact and it was very emotive, more than a simple match

Ok, if you are so sure of that... but its very, very strange to me that bumper, cause i have been seeing these cars since I was a kid and i have never seen that case...

Anyway, i love how it looks... like i said, its very nice, congrats :clapping

yeah okay, I watched just last matched to. But I was hoping we would lose to be honest.

Well, in several scrap yards here are resting around 4 Rover 200's and all of them have this front bumper. :tongue

But thanks, i'm glad other people like it.

If someone is interested in my plans, I will explain here:
I bought this car because it has the Honda D16a6 engine. I owned over 5 Honda's, so I know a thing or two about them. My plans are:
Fitting a Honda B16 throttle body (4mm larger, so more air)
Flowing and portmatching another D16a6 Intake manifold.
I will fit that to the block with in between a Password:JDM gasket which will make sure the hot temperature from the block will not reach the IM.
Then later on I wanna fit Honda Concerto SR brakes, in the front they're larger, in the back I have drum brakes now, so those will become disk brakes.
After that I want to fit a 4-2-1 header and a testpipe. Maybe a bigger pipe in de middle and maybe i'll fit a Honda Integra backbox.
After that a GOOD retune of the ECU.
This will be done in the following year. After that maybe some nice 16" rims or something.

I think it sounds good, and it will be unique. I love to use orignal parts and looks :) So on appearance not a lot will change.

Cheers!
