1996 216 Cabriolet - Heater

#1 Post by rbosworth2016 » Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:56 am

Is there any way to adjust the amount of air blown into the passenger and driver footwells? Our Cabriolet blows vastly more air into the drivers footwell compared with the passenger footwell. The drivers feet are cooked and the passengers are slightly warmed.

You need to pick up a Haynes Manual from Ebay. If the lever [that works the flap] has come loose from it's Bowden Cable that means taking the dash apart. Before doing that [if the car is a keeper at least fro the next couple of years] I would flush and change the coolant. It doesn't last for ever!

as above, there may be an obstruction to one of the flaps and like water, air takes the path of least resistance. In your case cold ankles for your passenger :)
