Cabby hood qtr deck retaining piece

#1 Post by Alex77 » Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:08 pm

It seems to be impossible to get the right hand side part (DSG10002) to fix the hood down to the deck... fortunately the left hand side (DSG10003) is still available from Rimmer's. Along with the rear deck retainer (below the plastic rear screen) these mild steel items are poorly protected from the tin worm and just crumble away... Of course it would be great if somebody could fabricate some replacements.... but, and back in planet real, does anyone have a serviceable one available, or know where I might find one??? Fingers crossed!

XPart have started offering stainless variants of certain coolant pipes.
Perhaps they could be steered towards a similar solution for these Cabby parts?

Funny you should mention that... This part is high up on the list of parts we've been discussing with XPart for some time.

Unfortunately it's not high on their priority list so we're talking to other potential suppliers too.
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams

1. Yes please to the photocopy request....

Just noticed that both of my tensioning cables have also snapped. Having read up a bit more on the 'usual' problems, I'm sure this will come as no surprise to you guys! Again no parts available and I'm told the the inclusion of the adjustable piece at the front makes it hard for them to be re-made on the fly.... So, again, anybody know the whereabouts of 2 of these items?? Thx.
