 Decating?
i was planing to decat my cabbie but i dont wish to get that chavy fart canon noise. so whats the best setup so i will get a nice engine tone. and will gain something by decating the exhaust?

i have a decat on my 1.8 coupe, i found that i gained a little more pull higher up the revs but in all honesty i dont think i would bother fitting one again to another car. get yourself a stainless exhaust made up. dont know how much they are in your country but you can get them done for less than £300 over here and that way you can have it sounding just how you want.

What engine is it?
Generally the 1.4 K doesn't really benefit from decatting (mine actually ran better with one in!)

They don't get clogged up. They can break up internally which can lead to them blocking up the exhaust, but that isn't common unless you have had running problems or impact damage.

my back box is for sure on its last feet because when i shake it around its like full of sand. that's why i thought that the catalytic is on its way to
