*laughs* I agree.

It’s a sweet setup, the vw boys seem to struggle with decent upgrades from the period era, eg mk2 mk3 golf brakes are tiny and struggle to stop this thing, virtually 300bhp.

We have 8x17 wheels on and can’t get the coil overs down enough due to the wide wheels so looks like a monster truck, on track at speed seem to be getting lift !

Anyway. Thanks for looking

I run 330x28mm with 6 pots under standard ZR or Streetwise wheels without any spacers etc wouldn't you be better speaking to somebody like reyland brakes to make you a two-piece disc and caliper bracket so you move the disc and caliper inwards so you don't need the spacers. that's the reason I had them make up the brake kit I use just had to give him a wheel and a hub. If I recall correctly the discs (AP Racing), bells, fitting kit and brackets were about £700

I run 326mmx28mm 4 pots on the 220. Discs and bracket circa £220, calipers ranged from £50 - £150 so a cheap big brake kit comparible to anything

We have solved the issue now.

He is running a 215/40 tyre on his 17x8J rim as as opposed t0 225/

The tarox 10 pots are superb, on the 406 disc.

As for going to reyland :laughing2

We dont like buying solutions, we build our way out of them. :)
