I spent a lot of time helping David out with this and had many chats with him on the phone.

I sent him the wiring loom from my 216, but the auto electrician was unable to do anything with it. The loom didn't match the one it was replacing and ultimately this decision to sell has been based on the cost it would be to put it back on the road.

On the plus side he does have another 216 GSi which he is keeping :)

We, particularly you, tried to help resolve this difficult problem - we'll have to add 'rats' to our list of "Things that will kill our cars".

Good to hear there is still another R8 in the family :D
