A few of mine. I was in a highly experimental mood today - Jeremy has photographic proof. I've tried to increase my composition to artistic levels hitherto unseen in my previous efforts. Never did Picasso any harm...

I think we had 12 cars in the end - 3 later arrivals, so some photographs show David's SEi, the silver HHR and/or cabby, some don't.

Sunshine and April showers was the order of the day, but was still T-shirt weather for some... Jeremy won the 200/400 class for best car there.

High resolution copies available of these and many more, if anyone wants them. Mixed panoramas and normal landscape and portrait shots.

The very experimental ones were these:

Good to catch up with everybody today. Had a great afternoon at the show. Did 423 miles today in the Cabriolet from the North East to the Milton Keynes and back. Average fuel consumption was 43.85mpg. Total fuel cost £49.85.

I dunno. The experimental ones just look like I dropped the camera and the flash went off at an opportune moment :laughing2 Either that, or I brought a cat with one of those collar-camera things and just let it out to randomly mill-about the place :blink

423 miles :o I won't ask what time you started out, or indeed got back. That's more mileage than I've ever driven in a single day - my record is about 370 to the south coast and back (in the 216 of course...).

That's dedication for you. I just can't quite muster that amount at the moment :blink

I left home at 9:30am this morning and got home just after 9pm this evening. It was a decent drive both ways apart from 10 miles of the last 25 miles where one of the major roads home was closed for overnight roadworks and I was diverted along country roads.

Pictures do look good and we had good day out too. Thought the museum lovely and my kids loved it. The tramcar in the transport hall was epic in proportions and the telephone hall guys looked after us all superbly well. Even the summer sun shone pretty much all day. So glad we made the effort which only came about because an Allegro broke down yesterday but that's a long story....loved the general lee (never thought a marina could be SOOOO cool!) and the rover 800 vitesse - now if I had space they could tuck into a garage corner nicely!

Getting artistic views are great Jonathan but standing on the roof of another car is just taking it too far....

Competition was intense for the best 200/400 but sorry chaps, the secret to winning is to get there early and park at the other end of the row!!

You're right of course. I'm surprised you didn't post up the one that appears as thought I am letting down someone's tyre - someone had to make sure a flame red 200 series won the competition :laughing2

The dents in the roof on the "General Lee" marina will push out, I'm sure :laughing2 I think they pushed out of John's SD1 last year, and didn't effect the resale value too much.

You have to suffer for your art, I find... :tt2

He just couldn't resist the temptation to use that rear window louvre as a set of steps :laughing2

And another thought. Should I start a poll to find out which Coupe we all prefer: Marina or R8? I think the results could be interesting :cool
