why is the parade from hopwood to longbridge? is there a meaningful an historic reason?? otherwise a parade from my house to longbridge sounds better as it's a shorter journey meaning i can get up nice and late.
in summery, whats the dealio with hopwood then?

That is how it was done for the protest in April back when Rover shut, so that tradition has stuck. The manager of Hopwood services is also Austin-Rover friendly.

You can go straight from home if you like.

The first couple of years all the ex-longbridge rovers used to come out of the houses with their families to wave us all along. This has dwindled as the years have gone on.

I'm on standby that weekend...I will know on the day.
Should be able to get to Hopwood in time for the parade.
If I don't get called out....is there room for a rusty one...?

Usually yes, but there are roadworks going on which will atleast double the time due to the amount of cars.

Or, they may have a route around the road works, taking us on a little parade. :)

Yes it isn't a small event! Infact it is probably the biggest Rover only event out there (MG events excluded!).

I hope we see more older material than a MGZS180 otherwise I will be disappointed. Mind you it has never failed to have some of the more interesting BL products in attendance yet.

Looking forward to seeing all your 200s/400s show these MG boys what a proper car is ;)
