BMC & Leyland Show 2015 - Gaydon Heritage Centre 5th July

Postby GTiJohn » Sun May 17, 2015 10:21 am

Just spotted this:-

The BMC and Leyland Show will be an enthusiast’s show and will celebrate the fantastic vehicles that were produced by the British Motor Corporation including vehicles produced by British Leyland, the Rover group and pre BMC days.

The show has something for everyone. With 800 vehicles on show, including cars, commercial and military vehicles on display, the show highlights the enormity of vehicles produced under the BMC marque. From a Mini through to the Scorpion tanks from the Alvis Fighting Vehicle Society and all sizes in between including vans and lorries.

Plus there will be rare BMC vehicles on display from the Heritage Motor Centres reserve collection.

Entrant need to fill in a form, as do clubs wanting to attend.

More details here:-
http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/event/bmc-leyland-show/

Who's interested?

If there's sufficient interest I'll see if I can get the sectioned car along too :D

IMPORTANT TICKET DETAILS

Postby 220 GSi turbo » Mon May 18, 2015 8:07 pm

Has anybody already sent off their booking form and payment?

I can book us a club stand, which will include a few free tickets :angel

Quote from the organiser's website:
Please note that all non-BMC or non-Leyland cars should be removed from the stand on show day.
But they have a concours class for BMW Minis......... :laughing
(I guess Binis and their owners are effectively going to be a significant part of the classic movement in the future, though :wink3 )

Update from Paul - Events organiser:-

Application has been sent been sent off to Gaydon, nothing back yet. I asked for the maximum 8 free car passes, 16 wristbands and one support vehicle.

Counting the numbers of cars coming we're nearly at 8 so those that have said they'll go should be covered as long as they send in their forms by 15th and state "Part of Rover 200OC display".

If we get more car/people they'll have to pay with their application but we'll sort out a redistribution of monies on the day. :)

Sorry to hear that you are not able to attend Scouter. I was looking forward to having a good look round your early car. I am sure there will be another opportunity though.

I have just spoken to HMC Gaydon. They have confirmed that entrants that are obtaining a vehicle pass and individual passes via the owners club do not need to fill in the "Individual Vehicle Display" form available on the HMC website. If you are not one of the "lucky eight" you need to fill in the form, pay for the pass and also state that you would like to be part of the club stand. This way the HMC will give us a stand to take all our cars attending.

As John has already mentioned, it looks like those that have already confirmed their attendance are within the "8". Perhaps John or Paul could confirm the list of "8" so others know that they need to apply for passes by next Monday.

It looks like we have 6 confirmed, 7 if I assume Paul is attending too.

1. Cabriolet106
2. Paul_1978_yorks
3. Mr Teddy Bear
4. Swandoggz
5. Montegoman
6. GTiJohn
and
7. 220GSITurbo (tbc)

So there's one 'reduced price spot' available - I guess we'll just split whatever stand cost there is between all 8.....

I'm probably be bringing a second car along but I'll put an application form in for that one
