The Weather has always been hit and miss at PoL, last one I went too was grim and cold at the start,
brightened up about 12 and was really warm by 3, started to cloud over and rain at half 3, just one of
them things, take a decent coat and a brolly, job done.

Nah. I keep critical spares in my pockets :laughing2

It's looking like snow first thing - so those with a lot of travelling to do need to be a bit careful. I'd suggest everyone will need to start out a bit earlier and allow extra time for slower driving.

Could be time for plan B.

How about a circle or cars this year and a camp fire in the middle, so we can all take it in turns to regale club members with restoration anecdotes?

I'll bring the marshmallows and chestnuts if someone else brings the seasoned logs and toasting forks...

Oh stop complaining :glare Think how beautiful Swandog's white 220GTi will look against a snowy-white hillside. It's a photo op. for next year's calendar :)

Bit more info about access to our area...

We're in position 3, accessed by gate 2, which is near Q-gate on Lowhill Lane. It may be best to drive along the B4120 (Lickey Road) and turn onto Lowhill Lane. That way you'll avoid the traffic using gate 1 which is near the junction of Grovely Lane and Lowhill Lane

If in doubt, use Streetview :wink3

Any maps/site plans out yet? Or anything we can use as a reference?

There's a final site visit this evening to check if the recent rain has affected any areas.

The map should then be issued .

Just replying to my own post. Everywhere I've looked says 10am apart from one web page - so 10am it is.

Looks like I'll be bringing the Nightfire Tourer. Snow chains in the boot!

Do we know how many 200/400 members are attending?

Should be over 400 going on the averages.

Gemma is doing a walk round tonight to see how good/bad/ugly it is.

If its truly bad it will be moved somewhere more solid but be sure, it will happen!

Taking an average of the weather forecasts (Met office, BBC and Accuweather) it looks like the snow isn't coming now.

50/50 on early morning rain, clearing for show start 10am, sunshine-and-showers starting earliest 11:00am to at least 1:00pm but definitely gone by 4:00pm. Very cold - 7 or 8 degrees maximum.
