The draw for club members has been done and everybody who asked for one of the club's free passes will be getting one :D (full details in the other thread).

Anybody else who would still like to go, the deadline for booking with Gaydon is 27th JUNE The form needs to be sent by post, so do allow time for it to get there.

Here is a link to the show details:https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/ev ... yland-show

And to the application form: http://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/BMC ... cation.pdf

Hello all, this is my first post! Only got the car sunday. I will be there so will come over and say hi! I will be the 214 SEI that is parked with the Rover 75 OC, as I was intending to go in my MG ZT but it has sprung an oil leak :(. Got a few little questions to ask the experts whilst there! For example the dash clock goes on and off, if you push it it stays on, so it's a loose connection, but I've no clue on how to take the trim off without breaking it. And how to take the door cards off, as the rear drivers door doesn't unlock off the central locking (it whirrs but doesn't open) and the window in that door is stuck!

Welcome to the forum. You are more than welcome to park with us on the club stand. Removing the wood strip in the dash to access the clock is easy. Slide a flat plastic scraper or similar flat but not sharp object under the end of the wood trim at the passenger (curved) end and gently prise it off. Yes it's real wood and it's held by several metal clips that unlike plastic clips don't tend to snap when you remove them.

We would be pleased for you to join the club, just £8.50/year. You can download a application form or pick up a form on Sunday.
I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you! I will definitely come over and say hi! :). I haven't got a plastic scraper to hand :(. Strangely the clock hasn't gone off again now, we will see how it goes!

And yeah sure, I'll join the club after it has passed it's mot and is all good to go :D. I've got to figure out how to test the fan on it, as the MG ZTs are notorious for fan failures, I don't know if that is as common with these?

Strikes me this will be a good mix of cars this time... all we need is a tourer...
