List of vehicles scrapped in 2009 - depressing reading...

The Viking - Winter 2021

This might sound a bit biased but I'm very impressed with our Viking magazine ! :D I do get a sneak preview as proof-reader (it never needs much fettling) but I'm going to be reading my 'hard copy' over the weekend and I'm sure I'll enjoy it all over again. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/508416...

Re: Shock absorber or... ?

A reputable parts list says that REB10010 is a very widely used front spring - it was fitted to most 96MY Cabbys/Coupes/Tourers, and a number of 4- and 5-doors from '89 to '95. Unfortunately there are many springs listed and I haven't worked out how to read the detailed fitment info yet... :blushing...

Re: Cabby se

:welcome

Getting the hydraulic fluid into the pump reservoir is a bit of a faff and remember you need the handbrake on for the hood switch to work. There's a simple interlock to prevent it being used when moving :cool

Surprisingly the rear arches are solid, as well as the seals, I think the engine will need recommissioning work mostly
That's the easier of the 2 generally :D

Re: 416SLi steering rack

its the pressure release spring inside the steering rack. None serviceable item, unfortunately, new rack needed. It's the Positive Centre Feel (PCF) spring inside the rack that's almost certainly bust but Craig's correct, it's (currently) not serviceable :sad PCF was a simple device to increase ste...

Re: New 200 Owner

It’s a right of passage to have a £1500 stereo in your £500 car though..*laughs* I know I did it.... Ha, mine did have the original R660 in it when I got it. For now I've put a not too flashy but smart JVC in it, I've kept the old of course. I've not had a particularly good evening with my rover! D...
