Any chance that I can have it? :D

Re: What you guys thinks it's worth

Better the devil you know!

I see that it's been relisted because the bidding didn't reach the reserve.

It's a private auction this time & reached £1k already!

Re: What you guys thinks it's worth

Yes why is he allowed to relist it and not offer it to the next bidder with feedback?

It may well be worth more than it reached as it's a new shell, where did he get a new shell from? :S

Removing the windscreen washer reservoir

I've just re-acquainted myself with the pleasures of a D16 oil change, done on ones back. :sad

Reference removing the oil filter:
I did toy with the idea of removing the windscreen washer reservoir, and then reaching down from over the passenger wing; has anybody else tried this?

Re: Clutch Slipping

The Honda clutch needs to be manually adjusted; do you have 1/2 inch of free play at the top of the pedal's travel?

Nice thread, keep the pictures and commentary going Vinny! :clapping

Some more back ground on those front brakes would be interesting? I'm always aware that the standard brakes are a liability especially on the Mway.

Re: Play in new wheel bearing

A good machine shop will be able to measure up both the outside dia of the bearing assembly and also the internal dia of the bore in the knuckle. If a previous bearing outer race has seized to the rollers and then spun in the knuckle for example, there should be visual evidence of whats happened onc...

Re: Drivers seat belt

I believe that there are two different patterns of the latter pretensioner stalk. In my experience the clip is pretty rubbish anyway, they don't locate the tang with the same positive click even when they're working. I have two 95 built cars, one where the buckle fell to bits and one set that still ...

Re: Low mileage 214SEI

:) That is less miles than the one in Worthing that went for 1500 squid last year! that had 23,000 miles driven by it's one previous deceased family member and was in a genuine show room condition! It's been squirrelled away some where as it never seems to appear on the club scene. I wish that I'd u...

Re: 2019 Restoration Show Centrepiece Charity Cabriolet

It's a good job that the pipe gave up when it did and not when the new owner was driving it down the road! That could have resulted in serious consequences for both the new owner and the clubs reputation. There are invisible earnings to be factored in, the goodwill & interest/footfall to the club st...

Re: FS Ebay: SD3 216 Vanden Plas EFi

It all depends how badly rusted that sill is! If it needs both inner and outer sills replacing, that is a major job involving removing the doors and bracing the door gaps. Are replacement panels available?, are the floor pans sound? It's a lot more difficult than replacing a front or rear wing for e...
