Both mine are CAD at the end A becuase they are early series but C?? Yes, I should have said that the 9th letter B is 5 speed gearbox mated to ...

Re: Water into drivers footwell...how?

I had a similar problem on my 75 when it was 15 years old so I believe it is common to many cars as they get older.

Re: How do you remove the gear knob on a 45/ZS

For the late models I recommend you leave it in the hot sun and when you put it in reverse it will come off in your hand! You may have to wait until next summer though.

Re: Hello!

The slow window could be the glass sticking to the rubber. Squirt some rubber and nylon lubricant in the guides with the window down.

Re: Chassis Numbers

It will tell you where it was built, body style, model year, model type, engine type and gearbox type. What it doesn't tell you is the date it was built. If you send me the VIN I can decipher it for you.

Re: 8th BL Rally, Milton Keynes Museum - Sun Sept 27th 2020

Dave, potentially it may be a problem on this occasion. Tom Morley has stipulated that due to Covid only club cars will be allowed in as each club is responsible for obtaining names and contact details for track and trace. I realise you are a member of this club but if you arrive in a 600 when the 8...

Re: T-series in the HHR 400

I had a 820 with a T Series engine and found it to be a robust engine with loads of torque, economical and was well mated to the PG1 gearbox. I wouldn't worry about the oil leaks, they are only minor. It is certainly heavier than a K but then you would never buy an 800 for its handling! I've not had...

Re: 1987 Rover 216S Scrappage Scheme Victim/Rescue?

Its last MOT failure was in 2005 at 241K miles. That's impressive. The current scrappage scheme offered by some manufacturers is just a sales incentive and is not government backed so there is no obligation for the car to be scrapped.

Re: New 'Gaydon Gathering' event at the BMM - Sept/Oct 2020

But last Sunday was pre -booked only so they had your contact details. The "Gathering" was allowing people to just turn up. It would be too late to change the September event to ticket only.
