Re: Dash cams

As an alternative to running a cable all the way down to the cigarette lighter, cound you modify the interior lamp to accommodate a suitable USB output? Then you can just hide some wiring above the roof lining :) That would be an idea. Also useful for the MG-TF illuminated rear view mirror of cours...

Re: Part numbers for 1992 1.6 Honda r8

Thanks again I’ve just ordered the Bosch leads. You suggested. The "modern" Rover part references for these components are: Dizzy cap: NJD100130EVA HT leads: FDU2800EVA Spark plugs: FDU2522EVA The Honda equivalent part codes are: Dizzy cap: 30102-PM5-306 (set that comes with the rotor arm too) HT l...

That’s one hell of a write up, surprised the page didn’t time out on you.
As long as you got something from it (anything at all really...) and I didn't just waste half an hour writing it, I'm not bothered. I like to be thorough... but then, so do you :)

Re: Part numbers for 1992 1.6 Honda r8

Every time I do a search on eBay and Euro parts I get a choice of TWO or more. I’m after the part numbers for A j reg 216SLi Reg number J189OJC Spark plugs? Leads? Dizzy cap? Thanks for your time. Spark plugs - Rover part code: GSP-7662 After market - NGK: BCPR6E-11, or really fancy Denso Iridium: ...

Re: Mesh

Hi all is it possible to remove the coupe mesh (under the number plate) with the bumper in place? I am thinking of taking it out and spraying with Black Smoothrite to tidy it up a bit - might seem anal but I know its not 100% I personally don't think so. On the phase 2 bumper on the standard car, t...

INDICATORS ETC!

Just thought I'd mention Euro car parts has got a sale on - use code MID60 until about 4:00AM on THURSDAY morning (23/01/20). The reason I'm stating this is because they've got a "special" on phase 2 aftermarket indicators (they're made by TYC, as are pretty much ALL the other brand-new indicators a...

Re: REFERENCE SHOCK ABSORBERS

My question is: These with the Ref: RND 106010 that I have located in a scrap yard are any of those models? {I have been told that it is from a ZR 160). I have searched for the part number RND106010 just with Google. I'm getting a lot of references that say they are for the 200/25 2-litre diesel mo...

Thanks saved me making a mistake there, very grateful Will look out for correct spec Ecu do you have a photo of the potentiometer? Re: Spare ECU Spec Advice Needed

You do need to match the part code exactly to the one you have, so the R00 version will be no good. For reference: The Honda part codes all begin with "37820" for the R8 (and Honda Concerto) Then: PP4 - SOHC 216 PP5 - DOHC 216 Then: E01: Non-cat, manual gearbox E51: Non-cat, automatic gearbox G01: C...

Re: What have you found in your car

Back in 2016 i had to replace the drivers side wing on my Ex's Rover 25. Upon removal i found a quite healthy seedling growing out the dirt in the bottom corner. I guess this was why the paint colour was called Arbour Green! Oh - if we're going towards the natural occurrences of stuff in a Rover, t...

Re: What have you found in your car

Not me but I think someone in the club found a rear view mirror in the plenum chamber on a 200 series. We postulated that the person who left it there was using the mirror to "see behind" the bulkhead panel, perhaps whilst fixing the wiper linkage. I've only ever found the odd copper coin in mine :sad
