Re: Radio Codes

That's strange, I thought that all of the Philips/Rover units used button 1 to start the code entry. Maybe you have a bad connection under button 1? Try pressing it repeatedly with the rdio switched off for a few seconds, which might clear any 'muck' on the contacts and then try the code entry proce...

Re: New Rover owner

:welcome

That's my favourite colour combination for a 5-door, despite all the metallics (and Flame Red) that were available at the time!

It's good to see another one in enthusiastic hands and I hope to see it in the metal at Gaydon (and obviously to meet you too)

Re: Price Comparison Rimmers vs Euro Car Parts

I did a quick bit of research on Crosland Filters recently before stocking up on oil filters for our family Mini/Metro/Allegro collection. Like many established automotive brands, the name has been bought by another company after the original one ceased trading and their filters are generally the c...

Re: Power Steering When New

I can still visualise the pile of manual steering racks and subframes at my family's Rover dealership in the mid 1990s. Rover did a special 'package deal' for dealers on a retrofit PAS kit and secondhand R8s without PAS were quite difficult to shift (pun probably intended!) Trade-in values were adju...

Congratulations on saving such a rare car :clapping

The HH/R 400 series is often overlooked and not many people realise how well-equipped some of the higher-spec versions are.

And the T-series is a fantastic engine :cool

Re: How do I rejuvenate a Bonnet Insulation Pad

What type of dirt is on it? General dry dust etc? (in which case I would suggest using a suitable brush and vacuum cleaner) Or oily grime? (In which case I would suggest an aerosol foam degreaser) You could still give it a full 'soap and water' treatment, but you would need to allow it to dry thorou...

Or even buy an R8 with a roof? :wink3

Re: Can I disable my 2005 Rover 45 Alarm?

I had a similar problem with a 2005 car, to the extent that I could be driving along the road with the alarm going off! It was impossible to reset it using the fob or any other method. From what I can remember, taking the fuse out would silence the main alarm (needed to disarm the immobiliser with t...
