Re: Can I disable my 2005 Rover 45 Alarm?

I had a similar problem with a 2005 car, to the extent that I could be driving along the road with the alarm going off! It was impossible to reset it using the fob or any other method. From what I can remember, taking the fuse out would silence the main alarm (needed to disarm the immobiliser with ...

Re: R 600 & 96 Accord 2.2vtec UK

At www.rover800.info/forum we tried to get R600 owners to join up but, quite honestly, their apathy meant that it was a waste of time In that case seems that only mg-rover.org still have wealth of info regarding Rover 600 as I cannot find it anywhere else. Facebook is not a place where I can find a...

Would be nice to incorporate Rover 600s into the club!
The 800 club already looks after them as there's the Cowley connection :D

Re: 216 SI problem with fob/alarm/immobilizer

Well, you can check tailgate wiring loom if that one is causing the shorting. See here: https://www.mg-rover.org/threads/rover-200-25-mg-zr-tailgate-wiring-loom-inspection-guide.467219/ If that one is not a problem, then you will need to find auto-electrician which can trace wiring to see where the ...

Re: 216 SI problem with fob/alarm/immobilizer

Can you check that fuse numbef 1 in engine compartment fuse box is not burnt. If it is, can you replace it with new one of same rating and see if it is going to work?

Just to be sure, your Rover 216 is "bubble" shape?

Re: 216 SI problem with fob/alarm/immobilizer

Ok, then question: Do you see red alarm light on the dash blinking which means your alarm/immobiliser is active? If so then we are sure alarm is activated and working. If not we will look into other direction.

Re: 216 SI problem with fob/alarm/immobilizer

You do not say which year is your car and what type of fob you have but I will assume you have black squarish fob with two buttons. If so, it would not be surprise that your battery holder terminals in your fob got detached with dry soldering and thus fob does not receive any power from battery alth...

Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars

Parts ordering now becomes more expensive from UK and would be beneficial if some warehouse of parts or similar can be found in EU. You do still have Theo Isaak, at Lemix Automotive Parts . We in the UK have the reciprocal problem where residual stocks are on the EU side of the Channel. I've got a ...

Re: Rover 200 eletric windows dont work

This car is Rover 200 1998, so I assume this is bubble shape Rover 200. In that case window lift relay is under steering wheel as I showed on this picture: http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l552/roverlike/789987/Centre%20console%20%20passenger%20compartment%20fusebox%20v2_zpsld2zjgjp.jpg~original ...

Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars

I participated in this survey. I also shared this survey at thebrm.co.uk as well on mg-rover.org forums, so you might have some participations from there as well, I hope. As said before we are loosing, one by one, good sources of information, starting with Rimmerbros removing NLA parts, the mgroverp...

Ive found a radio, but it is an R850 that does not use a seperate display. Does it support a changer?
Nope. R850 DOES NOT support CD changer.

R770, R860, R950 supports CD Changer.

However, R770 and R860 radio/cassette players does not support any CD Changer, but only Phillips 026 CD changer.
