Door handle off and trying to craft plastic insert to hold knurled threaded brass insert.
Does anyone have the internal door handle (nearside) as I snapped all plastic lugs off removing it. Prefer to get one from here before trying eBay or wherever.

Thanks for the effort. Childcare meant I didn't get to look at it today anyway but will try again tomorrow. Any tips/guidance still appreciated

Re: Rover 45 Door Handle Surrounds.
I broke mine a day before this post started when setting off for work at 5am on a particular icing morning. Unfortunately the damaged handle was jammed in the open position so I couldn't even latch the door (passenger side) shut. I drove the seven miles to work with the door ajar! I spotted the sepa...

Re: Radiator Fan running continuously.
Perhaps not pertinent but my 2.0 Diesel takes quite a while to show on the engine temp gauge. I have an eight mile trip on rural roads to work and engine is working but vents only give heat at the end of the journey.

Re: Fog Lamps or Driving Lights
Cheers all. I think it's mainly appearance or aesthetics that makes me want to do it but if I am going to do it, I may as well have some use from them. At the moment, the headlights do give very illumination (quite rural here) and are better than some more modern cars I've owned but I'll check out m...

Fog Lamps or Driving Lights
Not just a Rover question (although it is for a modification to my 416) but is there a difference between the above types of light? I want to add some lights in the lower part of the bumper to give better illumination over a longer distance, so when main beam is on, they light up the road ahead as f...

I'm only forty minutes away from this if someone wants me to have a look. Happy to look at anything specific or take photos.

Re: 1995 216SLI - impulse purchase!
Is anybody going to tell him/her about the high bite point........? Him. :D And go on, I'm intrigued..? I always assumed a high bite point meant the clutch probably doesn't have long to live? Well there are much more knowledgeable folk on here but the five Rovers I've owned have all had the 'high b...

Re: 1987 Rover 216S Scrappage Scheme Victim/Rescue?
I've got a couple of spare jacks you're welcome to if there's nothing forthcoming. I am in Scunthorpe though but happy to pass it on to someone who may be heading your way. If we don't get given one on Sunday and nobody's passing would you be prepared to post one if we pay postage please? Yes happy...
