Re: Which things will kill our cars? Common faults?

SPI cars seem to be very thin on the ground with regards to fuel system components, unless someone knows of a secret source? This. Stepper motor ? Throttle pot ? Non-existent (although thankfully a fellow member had a TPS which he let me have for buttons) - in fact the whole throttle body are now i...

Re: Festival of the Unexceptional 2019 20th July

I've just found out from an 'inside source' they are doing an Anniversary Class this year (for any cars celebrating anniversaries this year) so I have asked whether they have included any R8s in this new class - I expressed my sadness as I'm taking the 620 (although I reckon it's likely to be the on...

Re: HubNut & Rover 800 Club

I know Ian, he's a regular contributor on an old car forum I frequent. I believe he was only ever supposed to be the temporary custodian of the vehicle on behalf of the club (it was offered to them for free) to save it from being scrapped, but he did want to get it through the MoT as he had been usi...

Re: Aftermarket bluetooth radio for 2002 R25

I just use one of those bluetooth FM transmitters on the Streetwise for my streaming tunes, so you can continue using the audio controls. I got this one and it works fine and dandy, also comes with a handy USB port for charging the phone too - out of stock now but there are loads of similar ones on ...

Re: Correct radio for 2005 Rover 25

Really helpful post from Johnny there, but I will throw a curveball in re:Rover 600s My 1996 (P-reg) 620Si has the Philips/Rover R750 radio/cassette, however this was the year when there were some subtle tweaks to the 600 range (mine is an 'original' version with the older type of Honda power steeri...

Re: Why does my wiper catch on the bonnet

Both my R8s do this but only on the driver's side - 420 has 117K, 214 around 60K.

Would like a fix if possible.

Re: Festival of the Unexceptional 2019 20th July

To be fair, I wouldn't worry too much about age - drop them a message on Facebook - they seem to be quite flexible on the reg year as long as it's something a bit different. Don't recall seeing any cabbies there last year.

Re: Festival of the Unexceptional 2019 20th July

My 1996 620Si is booked in for forwarding parking Just looking at your signature - what a great collection of cars! I’m really wanting a Rover 600. You can paw the 620 Si at FOTU - P394DOH I may be looking to shift it on after that, but after taking it down to the MoT station today (after a month o...
