Re: Front wipers - no water

Can you swap the connectors over between pumps to see if pressing the rear wash button powers the front pump?

I would start by giving the whole area a damned good degreasing to help identify the source of the leak

What would we be looking at cost wise? I am really hoping we are not looking at a deal breaker cost here.
And any recommendations in the NW London, Middlesex or Buckinghamshire regions.
I'm sure that someone on here will be able to recommend a reliable, affordable guy near you

Re: HubNut & Rover 800 Club

The feedback on the 800 club is poor - dictatorial management, poor organisation etc

Conversely, our forum is much more friendly - www.rover800.info/forum

Re: Aftermarket bluetooth radio for 2002 R25

Thanks for the inputs, guys. The FM transmitter is something I've used before and works well enough in my experience - until you drive past someone on the same frequency and get a blast of Black Lace singing Agadoo :) The cassette adaptor avoids that but doesn't give the USB flash drive option. I'll...

Aftermarket bluetooth radio for 2002 R25

Dear Technical Gurus, Can anyone recommend an affordable aftermarket Bluetooth equipped stereo that will work with the steering wheel controls on a 2002 Rover 25? Failing that, one with an aux lead input - but again, working with the steering wheel controls. Plug and play would be nice, too. I know,...

Re: Air Con Condenser Fan Inoperative

People forget that it is important to run aircon even in winter - at least once every couple of weeks to keep seals and bearings lubricated and free

Re: FS; Early 216 GSi

Why oh why did so few of these top spec models have alloy wheels and aircon? If Rover were serious about encroaching into the bottom end of Jaguar's territory, both of those things should have been on the spec sheet. It's a lovely looking car, though. I love the clean look of the nose on the grille-...

Re: Anyone ever messed about with l series injectors???

The R8 diesels , 825 and Metro were powered by Peugeot engines but the rest are Rover engines (and 75 was BMW but we don't want to mention that :) ).

I never did understand why the R8 wasn't powered by the L-series because it fits nicely, due to being based on the T-series

Re: Tyre sizes again...

would feel like driving a space hopper. ....or could be viewed as giving a decent ride quality at last. I know that it made a noticeable difference (improvement) on our old 414 R8 when we stepped up a tyre size. It also looked better - the originals looked stupidly skinny As for gearing, we went fr...

Re: Front discs

You don't need to disconnect the brake hoses - you can tie the caliper to the coil spring to keep it out of the way
