My car is a 1.4 so I think it has the R65 box, rimmers list a complete PRT kit so I was hoping it was a simple bolt on job
As its a very late car, it wouldn't surprise me if it had the Ford box that was in use late on, rather than the Peugeot R65.

Re: Mems ECU tuneable?

We could certainly do with getting more torque at the bottom of the rev range on my daughter's 1.4 Rover 25 -with the very light flywheel, the clutch is quite tricky for a learner.

Re: Indicators needing to 'warm up' to work

Possibly broken solder joints inside the relay. It's a common fault on, for example, the ECUs of Honda powered Rovers of the 80s and 90s

£4487 for 107K since 2005 plus £60 purchase works out at 4p per mile for the one
Which sounds like pretty good economics, compared to newer cars which depreciate

As long as you can avoid cities that charge you an arm and a leg for driving a diesel on their streets, then the longevity and economy of the diesel is very attractive

Re: Steering suddenly went extremely light.

Honda steering racks on 827s are prone to this - and as an early 216, it will have a Honda engine and Honda steering rack
