Re: New magazine adverts launched

Could those videos be made available on YouTube? Because I've the same problem as previously (non compatible system - Linux Ubuntu & Firefox): I can't see any on the Club pages given in the link... Thank you so much. :) EDIT : sorry for my mistake! I thought they were videos when they are pictures! ...

Re: Did pre L-reg R8 are ready IR alarm

My parents' 1991 214Gsi was offered an alarm by the then Rover dealer because it wasn't fitted from factory. So it was a genuine Rover alarm - or rather dealt by Rover, but it never worked properly and was sometimes blowing at random. Finally they asked the dealer to take it off. BTW my 1994 214i ca...

Good old days when Rover ruled the mid-luxury range of British cars... :clapping
Many thanks to Jonathan Living. :thumbup

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

I should have thought of that for the cabby length is 4.22m when the 25 is only 3.99m.

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

BTW in the link I've given above I was very surprised to noticed that my 1994 214i cabby has a 55L tank when the other 25 obviously including mine have only got 50L. :S
Hence a better autonomy. :)
Can anybody confirm? Thanks.

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

I fear you don't trust me very much... :closedeyes Anyway here are 3 pictures of... not one but two RHD TB I'd bought on Ebay from a British seller plus one RHD cable, but I do not remind why the other end had been cut. https://aws-cf.caradisiac.com/prod/photos/2/5/1/1468251/8416469/big-8416469ba9.j...

Stunned to see so many 75, 25 and TF, and comparatively so few 200, and above all & mainly so few cabriolets... :o

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

Any chance you can post some pics of your spare RHD TB compared to the LHD one you are using? Im curious to see where the difference is now! I'll try. But I assume you know very well how a RHD TB looks like, don't you? Not that easy to take a clear & informative picture of a LHD TB already in place...

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

I did some research, there are different ECU P/Ns for high and low peformance. I assume it was just a different ECU map. If you use 84PS cable on a 103PS TB, there is too much slack so it still wont open fully. Yes it does open fully , you've my word! Wheel being located on opposite side from a RHD...

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

It’s not quite as simple as break the tb and hey presto 20bhp...*laughs* Yes it will breath better but won’t be running 103. You are probably aware of things I don't know and I bet there are lots of them! :wink3 You told me I quote: ' The 84PS has a 48mm TB but is restricted by how far it opens. Ap...

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

The 25 1.4 came in two power levels. The 84PS has a 48mm TB but is restricted by how far it opens. Apart from that one, all the other 1.4 K16 MPI engines are 103PS (Regardless of age) Obviously if you have an 8v engine or single point injection, the power will be less. My 25 1.4 initially had 84PS....

Re: A bit of TLC with Turtle Wax Black in a Flash

I'm not 100% sure but i think the plastic manifolds were introduced after the BMW takeover in 1994. Also the alloy manifold has the same 56mm TB as the T16 engine (They look the same side by side) Thank you for that information. What difference does make a 56mm metal IM compared to a 48mm plastic o...
