Re: New Rover owner

The chap who sold me the the R8, gave me a jar of Autosmart Style Bumper Care. It goes on very easily with a one inch brush. One application appears to last well.

If I can make it, it'll be in the 2005 45, assuming I can get the engine mounts sorted. Neither the Tomcats or the R8 will be ready either. If all else fails, it'll be the 75.

Ditto! I once heard the then editor of the Daily Telegraph reply to the question "surely, your job is to educate and inform the public?"

His reply was, "no, my job is to sell papers!" :o

I've never bought a paper since.

Re: Engine Mounts need replacing?

After another lousy day on the trains yesterday, at least I may have some good news regarding part number KKH102451.

I emailed the ever helpful Mat at DMGRS. Apparently, the Xpart site is showing that it "is planned to be restocked", so he's going to ask if they have a date for this to happen.

Re: E5 and E10 petrol containing ethanol

I've used Shell V Power (or the BP equivalent) in my original 1.8 VVC Tomcat for years, with no obvious ill effects. And the emissions at MOT time are always very good, so I have no worries at the moment. It may be more expensive, but I'm happy to pay the extra, given the low annual mileages. Incide...

Re: How do I rejuvenate a Bonnet Insulation Pad

I had another go at gently brushing and then used a couple of coats of Autobrite Black Fabric Dye. It appears to have covered any stains really well. It fact, it almost looks new for less than a quarter of the 500 ml bottle. I went for this because I'm a bit obsessed with only using aerosols as a la...
