Quite like the MG3 - smart looking car, especially the facelift models with the grille.

Good idea, I’d be up for that.

The SEi and Sprint were effectively limited edition (added value) models based on the 214 Si, so I suspect they did not get a unique VIN identifier.
I’ll have to look at the car’s code tomorrow and try and decipher it!

Re: How many R8's left - do we have a definitive number?

There’s a lot of info on this thread, but am I missing a reason why the 214 SEi is missing?

Powder coating

If you’re going to get some parts powder coated, what are the most obvious candidates?

Eg I’m going to get my battery tray and wiper arms done. Anything else?

Re: Milwaukee 1800 NM Impact Wrench: Don't Buy

Useful to know. I’m currently looking to invest in an impact driver for my home DIY kit (appreciate that’s different to an impact wrench) but have been looking at Makita and Bosch.

Re: Brake Master Cylinder - Who is the Club's Expert?

Are there symptoms of something amiss? If not I would leave it alone. It sounds like you've given the whole system a good going over and perhaps this last item you're thinking about is just not necessary?

Re: How many R8's left - do we have a definitive number?

I’ve seen there are only 3 1996 registered 214 SEi’s taxed at present, but about 140 taxed that were registered in 1994/95.

Mine is one of the three 1996 ones which is pleasing to know - seems I’ve got one of the latest registered 214 SEi’s in existence :cool

Re: New Rover owner

Lovely car and a great find. Would be great with original Rover lattice alloys on it instead of aftermarkets.

So it’s E5 petrol for my 216 Cabriolet and E10 for my wife’s Volvo - she always has the snarling power monsters!

It's going to be another factor to worry about when considering the internal condition of any
R8 we might consider buying in the future. :sad

Re: Roverfest 2021

I think there will be an increase in cases but don’t think there will be an uptick in hospitalisations or deaths due to the vaccine. Unvaccinated people are obviously at the greatest risk at present. The sooner we get through everybody the better, and then we may be into booster jab territory in the...
