Would a look down the plug bores with an endoscope device save taking the head off only to find fortune had been smiling?

Re: 'Brian' The 25 - Repairs & Update

There seems to be quite a loose definition of 'MLS' in general use. Goes with the times, I suppose, there are no longer any absolute truths. Detail shots of the construction of some MLS gaskets show more than one steel layer, and often the sandwich is united by eyelet rivets through tabs extending f...

It's only when the engine isn't running is where I'm having problems.
May be worth checking your battery voltage with/without engine running?
Is it the same with key in ignition position but engine stopped?

Re: Interior light

The interior light delay is indeed controlled by the MFU. When the bargains were around, I bought one as a drop-in upgrade for my poverty spec non-delay original.
The door switches are very basic, and the contact is not enclosed. There's a single spade, the return is grounded via the bodyshell.

Re: Club Social Media Presence

I do share StubbornPatriot's anxieties. I have however acquired a facebook account to keep an eye on areas of interest. I noticed that a car offered through the Club was posted there recently, but not here. Actually, I'm getting facebook fatigue already as regards keeping up to date - so much clicki...

Re: New user here

The particular air vents mentioned here are not part of the light clusters. They hide behind the wrap-around side wings of the rear bumper.

Re: Rover 214 SEI 16V Guide price up and running?

Obvious starting point is to check the coil's primary and secondary resistances are within specification. Then, is the spark weak direct from the output terminal (i.e. before HT leads and distributor influence)? Does your garage have an oscilloscope to check the ignition pulses from the ECU are heal...

I also noted that you hardly get any change in the angle of the wheel when you add weight or jack the car up slightly where as with the poly bushed side its quite noticeable so fingers crossed its looking like when a worth while, even tho expensive upgrade.... They're smart looking parts! By "the a...

Re: Stepspeed Control Module

Just when we thought that the part we needed was nowhere to be found and we were going to have to find a Rover auto electrician to repair the old one (hopefully). Someone hereabouts might be willing to take a look inside the old one to record any observable and fixable defect found, for future refe...
