Re: NEC CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW 14th 15th Nov 2015

I'm happy to help out as and when required to either set up and/or man the stand on any of the days.

Re: Ashleys Rover - progress

Yes, it is good to get updates from members as to what they are doing and the occasional progress report. There should be more of these types of postings. Great to see you are getting on with it and keeping another one roadworthy. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Cheers,

Re: BL Autumn Rally 27th September 2015 (Milton Keynes)

I'll try and get there but will be a bit late as I am already committed to being a car park attendant for the village W.I. in the morning. What time are people planning on arriving? (In MK, I mean, not the car park I'm attending!)

Re: BMC & Leyland Show 2015 - Gaydon Heritage Centre 5th Jul

OK, was going to try and get to this, but clearly I'm too late to get on the bandwagon - just haven't had time to catch up with everything and thought I could just turn up. Have a good day all and see you at the next one instead then.

Re: Offer of club stand at Restoration Show - NEC 28/29th Ma

Clearly we can't get anything together for this year, but I would really like us to work towards participating in 2016 - if there's enough support from other members. There must be plenty of 'project' cars out there among our membership? Surely we could find a few jobs we could be getting on with in...

Re: PoL - 18th April 2015

What sort of time are we looking at assembling? And what sort of time can I expect to be able to get away (from someone's previous experience)? I have another engagement in the evening and just want to make sure I can do both.

You think this is shocking condition and would be a challenge - wait till you see what's sitting on my driveway that I'm tempted to recommission. I'll stick some pics and narrative up soon.

Re: Out and about in the wild

This is area where the club could possibly take a lead and find professionals who would be prepared to take on these jobs for us. It would be great if we could create a directory of such specialists (or do we already have one?). Events like the NEC should be where we are floor walking to make contac...

Re: Rover 416 Tourer(and MG ZR) heater control dial SNAFU

Hi Paul, Yep, done it now. You are right, the plastic sleeve around the metal inner had fractured because the heater control valve had stiffened up. After a few minutes of manual manipulation of both the internal and external levers at either end of the control cable and a temporary bodge of the con...

Rover 416 Tourer(and MG ZR) heater control dial SNAFU

The heater control dial on my 416 Tourer (K16) just goes round-and-round without doing anything. The dial on my wife’s MG ZR has the same problem (although I think it jams as well and is ‘off kilter’) – fortunately for this time of year, stuck on hot. I seem to remember my old 216GSi has the same (o...

Re: Any spare hands about in springtime??

Hi Steve, if you're just looking for labour rather than experience of doing the job then I'll tentatively volunteer, subject to when you actually schedule it. I'm not exactly close by, but it would be good to get to meet some of the members in person, so why not.

Cheers,

Duncan
