Re: 'The BMC & Leyland Show' at the British Motor Museum 1st July 2018

Re: Hi ~ 416 White Tourer in British West Dorset.

Hi Mike, Sorry, not in the Dorset area, although I do head down that way to visit my brother fairly regularly (Dorchester). Good to see another tourer in the club and I hope it does you for years to come. I have a tourer too, that was my daily but it has been off the road for a few years waiting for...

Re: 1990 416GSi

Lovely car and is clearly going to be well looked after. Must be one of the oldest still around. It'll be interesting to see updates on progress.

Re: FS eBay: 1992 216GSi Auto - Pearlescent Cherry/Tempest - 69k - Godalming

I think the later nose adds a touch of class to it myself, but there again, I've never much liked the plain nose anyway. No marque identity, just another dull "Eurobox". May as well have had the blue oval on it. A bit harsh. It is all in the eye of the beholder. I have cars with both types of front...

Re: Fan Belt

If you do not have a bolt to loosen then this is why your fanbelt is squealing. The alternator has a long bolt through the bottom - it rotates on this as its fulcrum, in a cam motion, which is what takes up the tension on the belt. The bolt that you sound to be missing is the pinch bolt that you tig...
