Re: Rover 214 SEi Project

The mechanics are now completed courtesy of Craig at RoverRevival and the car successfully passed its first MOT in 3 years on Thursday. A new bonnet has been fitted to replace the one with lacquer peel, and a new uprated battery. New front discs also purchased from John B, but not fitted yet. It’s n...

Re: Hello from Spain

Hello everyone, my name is Carlos and I am from Spain. I own two rovers. The first is a rover 220 GSi 1994 (with change of engine to 2.0 turbo). the second is a 1991 rover 216 gti that I will start preparing shortly. I do not upload photos to the forum so I leave you my instagram (@monsalvo_carlos)...

Re: Giving up

Got to admire your dry sense of humour :D

We’ve all been there. I had R8’s in the early 2000s and then moved onto other Rovers and other cars, but I always had that nagging feeling that I wanted another one.

Good luck with your sale :)

Re: Hello from West Lothian

Hi folks, I'm into day 3 of Rover 216 Cabriolet (I think it's an SE) ownership having picked up my 64k mile, Hawaiian blue example from a lovely chap near Stirling. Having regretted not buying an almost identical example I looked at in Glasgow about seven years ago I have had an alert set up on eBa...

Any Shows?

Now that restrictions are stating to be eased off a bit more, are there any shows on the horizon?

The next one I have in my diary is the BL Autumn Rally at Milton Keynes bits that’s aaaaages away yet.

That's what prompted my embarrassing display of amnesia. In my defence, I'm slightly out of the loop after a decade in the Middle East (still stuck here and missing Rovers)
Easy to become out of touch! What do you do for work?

Re: The Wife Will Go Mad

We should collectively be looking for a run-down stately home that the national trust haven't bought up. Buy it, restore it, and open say the east wing to the general public (on the understanding "the family" lives in the rest of the building) and add a tea room, then park all the cars we want but ...

Re: The Wife Will Go Mad

Thanks for all the replies chaps! I’m back now, and I have decided to give the 618 a miss. It needs more doing to it than I have the money and time to spend on it at the moment. I’ll concentrate on my project SEi and look again when the time is right and the right 600 comes along. It was a good oppo...

The Wife Will Go Mad

I’m thinking about buying another Rover. I already have the Tourer and the SEi. The Tourer is taxed and insured and used, the SEi is away at Rover Revival, but will be taxed and insured when it gets back. The plan next year will probably be to move the SEi on. However I have seen a Rover 600 (618 iS...

Nice one! I will be in the market for a 618 iS later this year or next, so if there is any chance of you parting ways with it I’d be very interested!
