Re: H plate Rover 216Gti - Leak in footwell

Does it have a sunroof? If so you should see the drain holes when the sunroof is extended back. Not sure how best to clear them though. Perhaps a long wire or an air hose.

What was it?
A dead cell in the battery
I’ve just had to order a new battery for my Tourer as my other one died in the cold weather. I went for an upgraded Bosch one that has 15% better cold starting capacity and supposedly withstands longer periods out of use.... we shall see.

Re: Facebook Sales page created for this club

But there are already so many out there, I run one myself. I just don’t think the club needed it. I await being corrected. Many people contact the club to sell cars or parts. Up until now the advice has been "please post on our Facebook page and on our forum" but in order to separate out cars/parts...

Re: Facebook Sales page created for this club

I think it is difficult for people to post on a FB “Page”. A “group” is more interactive and easier to post on. There is already a Rover R8 Sales group with over 1,000 members: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2104271929791970/?ref=share Rover 200/25/Streetwise sales group: https://www.facebook.com/g...

Re: Facebook Sales page created for this club

Is this page for the Club to sell parts or individuals to sell parts?

Re: Putting £ in

I think I did work out my BRM but thankfully I've repressed that memory..... Hahaha. I have a 420gsi tourer that I've spent £500 buying and delivery to mine then I've spent another £500 on parts..... So far..... I think up to another grand might go in to it but it is a full rebuild, so God knows......

Re: Looking for Vi V585MOF

DVLA tax checker shows it as not taxed since March 2010 and not on a SORN. I would say 99.9% chance it’s tin cans now unfortunately.

Sometimes the 'Prong' on the flap gets bent out of line & needs gently bending back into position.
Yes agree with this. I’ve had to do this with mine.

That looks tidy :) do you have much to do ?
It needs a head gasket (kit inc pump/cam belt) for starters :closedeyes
Not had chance to look at much else, but hopefully not much more than that!

Rover 214 SEi project

Creating a new thread for the 214 SEi I purchased about a month ago. It’s metallic charcoal, 49k miles, 3 owners since new, been in same family for years. Been off the road for 18 months. Probably paid a bit too much for it but heart ruled my head as I was very fond of SEi’s I’ve owned in the past. ...
