MOT suspension

#1 Post by Johnny 216GSi » Wed Mar 25, 2020 11:36 am

All cars (amongst other vehicles) will be exempt from MOT testing for 6 months from March 30th, as you shouldn't be going out for non-essential purposes. ... oronavirus

The advice is - if your MOT is due before 30th March, get the car to an MOT station and have it MOT'd. If your renewal date occurs after 30th March in the 6 month grace period, you can wait until it's safe to resume "normal life" and then get your car booked in.

In the mean time, you have to keep your car roadworthy as the police can/will still prosecute for unroadworthy/unsafe vehicles.
