Idle question.......given that the L series diesel is based on a T series block, and that the T series fits the 200/400.........has anyone to our knowledge fitted an L series engine and box to a 200/400? It would be a nice power boost :)

I *think* I saw one at PoL, about 3 years ago at a guess. A 200 series 5-door with an L series diesel fitted. Didn't talk to the owner for too long about it, but he seemed pleased with the performance.

It's the car that Rover should have built - after all the R3 had the L series (so it MUST fit the R8)
