r8 dash clock

ok so my dash clock stopped lighting up turns out bulb had blown, changed it and it now wont light up ive checked clock fuse and instrument fuse both fine, today was giving a clock the new clock wont light up, the new bulbs a bulb not LED ive tried it both ways regardless. so anybody got any ideas why its not lighting up, any other fuses it may effect? (sometimes the raido blows a fuse but it dont blow the radio fuse, it blows the interior roof light fuse)

all help apreciated

yesh i know its nothing wrong with the clock its self as i have taking it apart and tested everything and the currnt is running through the clocks circuit board as it should be, anyone got a wiring diagram for the clock to fuse box?? im in the middle off packing to move so i dunno where my manual is, thanks tho dist that maybe helpful for some people just not in this instance

You should have four wires to the clock:

Black: Earth
Purple: Constant 12v feed for the memory
Green: 12v feed from the ignition switch: this lights the clock display when you are using the car
Red: 12v feed from the sidelight circuit: this dims the display when you are using the side/headlights

Test all of those to make sure you have no faults in the circuits feeding the clock.

Keep us informed as my clock doesn't light up/work either.....although not had a look at it yet
