Gear sloppyness

#1 Post by Vinny1979 » Wed Jul 31, 2019 6:13 pm

I need to improve my gear stick feel.

I thought it was done but in gear I can move the stick side to side :laughing2

I presume this will fix it

Also I have a short shift from a d series coupe, doubt it will fit? Anyone know, would like to do it all in one!

I changed mine with a kit like that and the shift has improved considerably.

The old one was stiff not loose, as I'd expected.

You may be able to marry the short-shift D16 lever with your PG1 rods.

Please let us know how you get on.

Apparently a wobbly shaft :blink is common on the T series. Mine is the same but I’ve just got used to it. I still prefer driving my Rover than my everyday car.
