ROVER 418 TD TOURER

#1 Post by R8SRGR8 » Thu Nov 07, 2019 5:17 pm

Can anyone help with my problem on my Rover 418 TD Tourer with 1796cc Peugeot engine and Lucas Fuel injection pump. I had the engine out of the car but my labelling has let me down and I am left with 2 x cables and no obvious place to connect to although I suspect one of them is for the glow plugs. In the absence of me being able to locate a suitable workshop manual does anyone know the colour code and thickness of the cable which connects to the glow plugs and if there is a connection somewhere on the injection pump for the remaining cable. One of the spare cables is quite flimsy, 0.75mm and the other is quite robust. :S

I have the R200 Electrical manual from 1992, It covers the Diesel model. Do you want a copy?

Try the Peugeot 405 or Citroen BX diesel Haynes manuals

Can't help you unfortunately, but there's a diesel repair manual supplement on Ebay for £8: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-Servic ... 3334611374
