Rimmers stopped caring about rovers a while ago, when I last phoned up about parts for an sd3 they said what's that?

Disappointing response all round considering they use the clubs forum home page for advertising.

To be fair whenever I’ve dealt with Keith there (who seems to be the main MG Rover guy) I’ve always been impressed; he’s knowledgeable and decent.

My main frustration with Rimmers is they take the parts they don’t carry off their online EPC.

It has been suggested that is down to XPart rather than Rimmers. It is sometimes worth asking a ex rover dealer if they have stock on the shelf. Jon in Wickwar may have what you want!

Yes that is my biggest issue with them if you still had all the part numbers this may not have happened 😐

You need to have EPC by yourself on your computer, since there is no EPC on-line on any site anymore for MG-Rover part numbers.

You need to be prepared to have kind of virtual machine on you computer in order to be able to install Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit, depending which version you manage to find. Otherwise it will not work, and you need to find installation version since all components need to be installed properly. It will not work differently (with simple copy of files).

I can do all that (in fact I have an old laptop I could run it on); it’s a case of finding the EPC in the first place. Do you know where I can get it?

PM me if you’d prefer :)

Glad that the right thing has now been done :cool

We're working with Rimmers to improve the situation parts supply and the EPC will be part of that but I now understand their reasons for the change and have some suggestions for what could be done in the future :D
