Converting 400 K reg 414sli to MG ZT 1.8 turbo.. advice needed

#1 Post by Gavstie12 » Sat Mar 11, 2017 11:12 pm

Hi, totally new to forums so bare with me...

I have a K reg 1993 414sli

Also have an MG ZT 160 2004 reg 1.8 Turbo.

Looking for any advice on the conversion from people who could do it, is it easy and rough prices to do the conversion... also will the ZT shafts and breaks fit on the 400??

Thanks in advance for any help. Near Birmingham West Midlands if anyone knows who could do this close to me.

Don't think any of the brakes fit as it uses the BMW 5 stud hubs etc use ZR 160 brakes you may need the hubs to. You will need a PG1 gearbox and what management you planning on running? I'm doing this conversation to my daily ZS, just got a complete engine I'm going to run a ECU for a Automatic car so can have the ECU mapped to control the boost pressure other wise you need a Micky mouse manual controller using a MEMS 3 flywheel. You also need to use the ZT fuel injectors but with standard fuel rail from a 25/45/ZR/ZS with a 1.1 fuel pressure regulator
