Rimmer Bros website - VIRUS?

#1 Post by Johnny 216GSi » Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:45 am

My virus checker is reporting the following now when I visit Rimmer Bros:
Threat found
This web page contains potentially dangerous content.
Threat: HTML/ScrInject.B trojan
Access to it has been blocked. Your computer is safe.
It's either genuine, or some dodgy code... but just in case your computer doesn't have a virus checker, stay away I guess...

Works for me - I've spent too much already. I've done enough business with them to open up a trade account :laughing2

They should stop charging so much for postage and pay some money towards tech support.

Phoned them today about it. My virus checker is still throwing up warnings everywhere and stopping me visiting the site.

They'll do something when they start noticing a drop in sales...

wonder if it is virus scanner specific.

I'm on kaspersky (paid) and its said nothing other than the ssl not being valid on .co.uk

Yeah, it very definitely is virus checker specific and how it handles it. Mine's actually reporting the name of the Trojan it thinks it's found "HTML/ScrInject.B trojan," rather than some random error about certificates/unsafe/etc. That's what worried me.

Can't get it to load full stop for me, I have ORIGIN running on Firefox and I think that is blocking it.

It still doesn't for me. Still get Trojan warnings.

My virus checker stops MS Edge loading the page at all. Chrome and Firefox just say the page has timed out and my virus checker points to an infected cache file straight away (which I delete immediately).

I can browse through a web proxy (give someone else the problem!) but search doesn't work and the magnified diagrams (or any diagrams) don't show :sad

Started working for me again today - no warnings now.

I wonder what had to be fixed?
